Matthew Tiberi

Musical Theater

Matthew Tiberi was born and raised in New Jersey. Currently a resident
of Astoria, Queens, he is the Dance Captain and Swing of the new
Broadway musical Once Upon A One More Time, directed and
choreographed by Keone and Mari Madrid. Matthew began his training
in dance at ten-years-old gaining most of his education from Ziegler
Dance Centre under the direction of Renee, Peggy, and Dana Ziegler. He
also participated in community theater with Highland Stage working
with Heather Hamilton-Burns and Faith Anderson, and continued to
perform throughout high school. Matthew received his B.A. in Dance
from Hofstra University where he minored in Music and Musical
Theater. He began working professionally during his time at Hofstra
performing in Christmas and Broadway review shows around the
country and in Canada, as well as, joining the film and television actors
union SAG-AFTRA. After graduating in 2011, Matthew began
performing in musicals around the country soon joining Actors Equity
Association. He went on to play Issachar in the national tour of Andy
Blankenbuehler’s production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat. Soon after Matthew made his Broadway debut in Finding
Neverland choreographed by Mia Michaels and directed by Diane
Paulus. Matthew still performs in NYC, nationally, and internationally
while continuing to teach workshops and master classes and is currently
signed to Avalon Artists Group. Some favorite roles have been Phaedra
in La Cage Aux Folles (Geva Theatre), Rudolpho in Matilda (Virginia
Stage Company), Don Lockwood in Singing In The Rain (Summer
Theatre of New Canaan), Adam/Felicia in Priscilla Queen of the Desert
(Fiddlehead Theatre), and Chuck Cranston in Footloose (Fireside Dinner
Theatre).
